Unilever Awarded "China Green Gold" by SOHU

BEIJING, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The winners of the SOHU China Green Gold Award were announced in Beijing. Among 6 companies selected from 106 participating companies, Unilever China won the China Green Gold Award.

The three-month election of the China Green Gold Award included two main parts, experts review and netizen voting, which attracted broad attention of society. With 106 companies nominated by netizens, over 300,000 people voted on SOHU's website for the most sustainable company in their eyes. The China Green Gold concept represents the harmony between economic development and environmental protection. It is the social responsibility and a new way of doing business.

The first ever China Green Gold Award followed three metrics of environmental protection, social welfare and economic development. The measurement of the award was based on a thorough analysis covering 12 different aspects of company operation, such as corporate sustainable strategy, organizational key performance index, sustainable investment, etc.

As a responsible corporation, Unilever has recognised its long-term obligations to the communities it serves.
